"Dr. Ravi" was born near Chicago, Illinois and grew up Illinois and Florida. He attended medical school at the University of Florida and received his training in cardiology from the University of Pittsburgh. He has been in practice in Dallas for the last two decades. Dr. Ravi's practice interests include: general cardiology, interpretation of echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, non-invasive vascular studies, cardiac catheterizations, along with nuclear stress tests and stress echocardiograms.

 

He is a kind and caring physician and is often addressed as “Dr Ravi”. He is on staff at Methodist Charlton Medical Center and serves on hospital committees aimed at patient care excellence.

Dr. Amit B. Guttigoli, MD, FACC

Dr. Guttigoli started his practice in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology in Dallas in August 2004. He finished his medical school in India where he graduated top of his class and was awarded Most Outgoing student. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency from Coney Island Hospital in 2004 and served as Chief Resident in his final year, and received the Virginia Nash award for outstanding resident. After residency, he did his Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship from New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center. In the final year, he received the NASPE Advanced Training Fellowship Award.

Dr. Guttigoli has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. His main area of interests are heart rhythm abnormalities including atrial fibrillation, heart failure and sudden cardiac death. Dr. Guttigoli has trained physicians from around the country in subcutaneous defibrillator implantation and has travelled to Japan to proctor implanting physicians. Dr. Guttigoli has been named a Best Doctor by D Magazine several times.

Dr. Guttigoli lives in Dallas with his wife and two daughters. He loves to travel and learn about other cultures and traditions. His other interests include ethnic and local foods, Dallas Cowboys and the Mavericks.

Dr. Issac received his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He then completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and his interventional cardiology training at the University of Colorado in Denver.

Dr. Issac has been in private practice since 2011. He specializes in angioplasty and stenting of coronary arteries and the treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) through the use of atherectomy, angioplasty, and stenting.

Dr. Issac is married with two children.

Dr. Edmonson, also known as the Vegan Doctor, is a graduate of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed his Cardiology fellowships at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, TX, and at New York University Medical Center in New York, NY. He was a Captain in the USAF and Chief of Internal Medicine at Ellsworth Air Force Base, Rapid City, South Dakota from 1967 – 1969. He entered private practice in New Orleans where he developed a cardiac cauterization laboratory, helped develop and co-directed the noninvasive cardiac laboratory, and helped in the initiation of a heart surgery program at the Methodist Hospital of New Orleans. He was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Mayor of New Orleans.

 

He moved to Dallas in 1980 and served as Medical Director of Cardiology at Methodist Hospital of Dallas for 23 years. With his colleagues, he introduced thrombolytic therapy for acute myocardial infarction, and coronary angioplasty and stenting for acute intervention. He was instrumental in developing an electrophysiology program, and worked closely with Dr. Lonnnie Whiddon who performed the first successful heart transplant in Dallas. He remains on the Dallas Methodist Hospital Foundation Board.

 

Dr. Edmonson’s practice has evolved from invasive/interventional cardiology to diagnosis and treatment in a primarily office based practice. His strongest interest is in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. He founded the Cardiology Disease Prevention Center to provide early screening, management and treatment for cardiovascular disease, implementing a plant based diet as a vital component of the treatment.
